Grayce Services is led by a licensed funeral director in the State of New Jersey (NJ License #4581) with over two decades of experience in end-of-life care. Our founder combines professional expertise with deep personal compassion, ensuring every family receives both knowledgeable guidance and genuine human connection.
We are based in West Orange, New Jersey and serve families throughout the surrounding communities. We do not keep traditional office hours — we meet with families at the time and place most convenient for them, including homes, hospitals, hospice facilities, and care centers. Evenings and weekends are available.
We offer a complimentary 45-minute consultation to understand your unique situation and determine how we can best serve you. You can schedule a consultation online, call us at 973-532-2129, or send us a message. There is no pressure, no rush — just an open conversation.
End-of-life planning goes beyond legal documents. It is the process of clearly articulating your wishes, values, and preferences so that your loved ones are not left making difficult decisions during moments of deep emotional stress. We help with:
A living wake is a deeply meaningful celebration that allows you to honor a life while the person is still present to hear the impact they have made. Unlike a traditional memorial, it is a gathering of love, gratitude, and shared memory — curated with intention and designed around the individual’s personality, values, and wishes. We handle every detail, from venue selection and catering to tribute facilitation and memory curation.
During the active dying phase, we provide a calm, grounded presence at the bedside — holding space for both the individual and their family. This includes vigil planning, guided meditation, active listening, physical comfort support, and respite for caregivers. Our role is to be a steady anchor, ensuring no one walks the final mile alone and that the environment reflects the individual’s wishes for their final hours.
While grief counseling focuses on therapeutic processing of loss, our bereavement support addresses the practical and structural challenges that follow a death — family mediation, after-death logistics, funeral arrangement guidance, and memorial curation. We provide the support needed to navigate the “after” with grace, helping families find footing when the ground has shifted. We complement, rather than replace, professional grief therapy.
Legacy advocacy is our licensed funeral director service. We serve as your personal advocate when dealing with funeral homes, ensuring your voice is heard and your family’s values guide every decision. This includes funeral planning guidance, provider advocacy, pre-arrangement consulting, and consumer rights education. Note: direct funeral establishment services (handling of remains, filing of death certificates, transportation) are performed through licensed funeral establishments.
Every family’s situation is unique, and our support is tailored accordingly. We offer a complimentary 45-minute initial consultation. Following that conversation, we provide transparent pricing based on the specific services and level of support your family needs. We believe everyone deserves access to compassionate end-of-life guidance, and we work with families to find arrangements that honor both their needs and their means.
Yes. We collaborate closely with hospice organizations, palliative care teams, hospitals, and care facilities. Our role complements clinical care — we focus on the emotional, spiritual, and logistical dimensions that medical teams may not have the bandwidth to address. We communicate with your care team to ensure a coordinated, holistic approach.
